Workshops/Seminars:
  1. Department of Sociology, S.P.Pune University organized a Research workshop on 5th Feb 2016.Lectures of Prof. Federic Vandenbergh on 5th Feb.2016
  2. The Department of Sociology organized a Research workshop on 19th & 20th Feb 2016 in the Department of Sociology, S.P.Pune University. We have invited Prof.Paramjit Singh Judge, Department of Sociology, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar – 143005 to deliver a series of lectures.
  3. The Department of Sociology arranged Peer Review Workshops on 16th Feb. 2016 and 20th Feb.2016 under CSSH UPE – II.
  4. The Department of Sociology is organized a workshop/seminar on “Reclaiming the body: Gender, Sexuality and Violence” on 29th Feb. 2016 in the Department of Sociology, S.P.Pune University.
  5. National Conference on 13thJune and 14th June 2016 on ‘Sociology of Social Movements: Trends and Directions in Contemporary India’.
  6. ‘Beyond Sociology: Charting Different Paths’ workshop on 25th July 2016
  7. University Level One Day Workshop ‘Chikitsa: Sociology at S.P.Pune University’ on 10 August, 2016.

Workshops/Seminars:
  1. The Department of Sociology and Indian Sociological Society (Research Committee -4) organinzed a National Workshop in collaboration with Indian Sociological Society at the Savitribai Phule Pune University held on 2nd February 2015 on Understanding Migration & Diaspora: Cultural Practices, Challenges and Solution.
  2. A one day Workshop on “Interrogating Culture: Collective Actions in Public Sphere “on 17th March 2015.
  3. A one day Workshop on “Redefining Culture: Challenges and New Directions” on 18th March 2015.
  4. The Department of Sociology & CSSH organised a one day workshop on “Social Determinants of Health: Reproductive & Sexual Health” on 26th Sept.2015, from 11.00 a.m. onwards under UPE-II.
