Abstract :
There are hundreds of screen reading softwares for different operating systems but none of the software is having sufficient ability to assist a visually challenged person so that he or she can work independently. The project involves testing some commonly used screen readers on different software packages and noting the lacunae of different screen readers which can be useful to modify the available screen readers or to design new efficient screen reader.
