Abstract:

In the last decade visual disability has been recognized as one of the most serious unsolved health problem facing our country. With the hypothesis that the provisions relating to rights of mentally ill patients have been neither specifically documented in any code nor been widely prescribed or elaborated by judiciary in India & they are in the need of their betterment, an attempt has been made in this study to locate their rights & find out the loopholes in the recognizing, implementation & enforcements of their rights.
