MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT
QUALITY POLICY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department focuses on following aspects:
To offer updated knowledge in different aspects of Commerce.
To maintain the standards of dissemination of information.
To develop healthy interactions by applying appropriate analogical systems and teaching methods
To evaluate the performance of the learners by suing transparent effective and reliable method of evaluation.
To develop an acceptable standard of learning that caters the
needs of different stakeholders.
PURPOSE FOR ESTABLISHING THE DEPARTMENT
The major reason for establishing the Department was to provide new
direction and impetus for the growth of business education in the city
of Pune.
The purpose of establishing the Department is spelt as follows:
i. To provide a broad based policy direction for the development
of Commerce education.
ii. To identify new programs and courses to be launched in
University of Pune.
iii. To co-ordinate and monitor various activities in research and
extension.
